I’m Virginia Hays Sanders — a mama, welder, and the woman behind Jam Up Motorsports. This is my story, my family’s story, and the reason this store exists.
Before Virginia could walk, she was in the stands of Summerville Speedway watching her uncle Charlie race. The love for motorsports was in the blood from day one.
Her dad put her on an XR50 and she never looked back. Racing dirtbikes as a kid became some of the best memories of her life.
As a teenager, Virginia founded a non-profit organization and built a truck to raise awareness for work zone safety. The networking and sponsor hustle started early.
She totaled that truck. But she wasn’t meant to stop there. She rebuilt it — stronger — and kept going. That’s Jam Up in a nutshell.
Virginia worked in a shop as a lube and tire technician at 19. Getting her hands dirty was never a problem. The mechanical knowledge she built here runs through everything she sells.
She became a welder at 20 and welded full-time for many years.
She hung up her welding hood to become a mama to her pride and joy, Elliott Ann. Although she still welds, her greatest passion now is building something her daughter can be part of.
Everything led here. An authorized multi-brand motorsports dealer, built by a rider for racers of all kinds. The lifestyle she loves is the same one she serves.
THE REAL STORY.
Jam Up Motorsports was founded in 2026, but the heart behind it goes way back. I’m Virginia Hays Sanders, and there’s a deep passion that drives this whole thing. I’m a mama who enjoys ripping on a YZ250F, but I once was a little girl on an XR50.
My mom and dad had me as a baby in the stands of Summerville Speedway watching my uncle Charlie race. Around 6 years old my dad had me racing dirtbikes, and those were some of the best memories. Life moved fast... and before I knew it, I was a teenager, founding a non-profit organization and building a truck to show and raise awareness for work zone safety.
“I totaled it but knew I wasn’t meant to stop there — so the truck was rebuilt.”
I gained a lot of experience networking, landing sponsor support. I was a lube/tire tech at 19, and at 20 I became a welder, which I did for many years before hanging up my hood to become a mama to my pride & joy, Elliott Ann. Although I still weld, my greatest passion now is building something my daughter can be part of alongside me.
That’s exactly what Jam Up Motorsports is. Whether we’re cheering on Dad as he races in the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series (Go #28!), hitting up off-road parks with our RZR, or spending weekends at motocross, flat track, and mud racing events, the lifestyle we love is the same one we serve!
